Dior’s makeup artist Peter Philips’s 7 red carpet makeup tips that you can use at home | Vogue Paris

Hi Vogue, my name is Peter Philips
and we’re here at the Cannes Festival. It’s more about iconic women
and there’s been so many over the years. It’s all about iconic women. Red carpet makeup has to stand out in a good way. Make sure that you are the star of your picture,
and yes, something that lasts in memory. Make sure that you wear your makeup
and your makeup doesn’t wear you, that you stand out for good reasons and make sure that there is one focus point
that draws attention, and make sure to glow. Be radiant. I wouldn’t do too radical treatments
before a red carpet because it weakens the skin
and sometimes you break out. So, just do gentle caring,
beautiful things. Nothing too aggressive. To take your makeup from day to night,
I would just build up, add a bit of sparkle and polish off your glow. Make sure to get a good concealer and when you drink something,
after a glass of water. A drink, a glass of water, a drink…
that always helps. Make sure you have your perfect foundation,
a good lipstick, a mascara and an eyelash curler. Of course all Dior.
