Lapp Electric Joins A Week Away Foundation to #LightTheTree2019

It’s that time of year again. Time to light
up your Christmas Tree. This Year Lapp Electric along with our friends at Member’s First Credit
Union are partnering with A Week Away Foundation and their lighting of the Christmas Tree Event
in downtown Lancaster at the square. And here with us today is Lynn Walker to tell us a
little more about this campaign. Thank you Tim. There is the 50 year of Lapp Electric
but this is our 5-year anniversary and we’re very excited about that and to partner with
Lapp in something that is very special to us and that is the Light the Tree event which
is kicked off at the Mayor’s Tree Lighting in downtown Lancaster on Black Friday, November
29th. So this will be our 5th year doing this and the reason it is so special is this was
a very special idea that the founder of A Week Away, Caleb Walker, came up with as fun
way to grow our mission and to kick it off basically. So we are very excited about it.
We are asking everybody that lights a decoration over the holidays primarily Christmas Trees
to post a picture of it on media with the #LightTheTree2019 and you can say I am doing
this in support of A Week Away and in honor a particular person if you wish to do so.
If you want to make a donation you can do so at Thank you Very Much.
And by the way we are also collecting donations for Martin Luther King Elementary School this
holiday season. You can drop off items such as scarfs, hats, mittens, gifts cards to Wal-Mart
or Target, box of tissues, hand sanitizer, those item that will help out young children
beginning Monday, December 2nd at our office. For every item donated we will be entering
you into a drawing to win a $25 Chick-fil-A gift card. Three lucky winners will be selected
in July. Join us this year as we give back. July, I think it is January there Greg. Just
saying. January. But maybe you are doing another one in July. That’s right we might have another
thing in July. That’s right. January. Join us this year in giving back to these two organizations
this holiday season. From our family to yours have a blessed Christmas season and Keep on
Shinning Central Pennsylvania.
